Another move towards fascism is the control over the press — all
dictatorships and would-be dictators target journalists and make
sweeping media reforms to increase their control and their ability to
censor information.

As Orwellian rhetoric becomes commonplace – wars are being waged to
maintain "peace" and draconian bills that curtail civil liberties are
being litigated as "patriotic" – countries worldwide have been enacting
Wolf's ten steps, some with more haste than others.

Fascist America, in 10 easy steps

From Hitler to Pinochet and beyond, history shows there are certain
steps that any would-be dictator must take to destroy constitutional
freedoms. And, argues Naomi Wolf, George Bush and his administration
seem to be taking them all

In either private or state economic and/or military led penetration, in
furtherance of empire-building, the strategic purpose is to exploit the
special economic and geopolitical features of the targeted country to
create empire-centered networks. In the post Euro-centric colonial
world, the privileged position of the US in its empire-centered
policies, treaties, trade and military agreements is disguised and
justified by an ideological gloss, which varies with time and
circumstances. In the war to break-up Yugoslavia and establish client
regimes, as in Kosovo, imperial ideology utilized humanitarian
rhetoric. In the genocidal wars in the Middle East, anti-terrorism and
anti-Islamic ideology is central. Against China, democratic and human
rights rhetoric predominates. In Latin America, receding imperial power
relies on democratic and anti-authoritarian rhetoric aimed at the
democratically elected Chavez government.

"Collateral Murder," the WikiLeaks video, allegedly leaked by Private
First Class Bradley Manning, is what remorseless killing looks like. As
civilians are mowed down from a hovering helicopter, the soldiers are
joking and cheering. In research for Unmaking War, Remaking Men, I
found that random killing is everyday life for U.S. soldiers in Iraq
and Afghanistan.

Every Crime Needs a Victim

< Very good article >

A government with the power to outlaw "harmful" substances and
"immoral" practices is a government with the power to ban any substance
and any practice. A nanny state is a perversion of government.

Richard Ebeling has said:

There has been no greater threat to life, liberty, and property
throughout the ages than government. Even the most violent and brutal
private individuals have been able to inflict only a mere fraction of
the harm and destruction that have been caused by the use of power by
political authorities.

And as C. S. Lewis remarked:

Of all tyrannies a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its
victims may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under
robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber
baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be
satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us
without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

The CIA runs a global abduction and internment operation of suspected
terrorists, known as “extraordinary rendition”, which since 2001 has
captured about 3,000 people and transported them around the world.

< The above figure is the one they admitt to. From the around
300 prisonors of Guatanomo Bay only one is a terrorist >

A June 2006 report from the Council of Europe estimated 100 people had
been kidnapped by the United States' Central Intelligence Agency (CIA)
on EU territory (with the cooperation of Council of Europe members),
and rendered to other countries, often after having transited through
secret detention centers ("black sites") used by the CIA, some sited in
Europe. According to the separate European Parliament report of
February 2007, the CIA has conducted 1,245 flights, many of them to
destinations where suspects could face torture, in violation of article
3 of the United Nations Convention Against Torture.[11] A large
majority of the European Union Parliament endorsed the report's
conclusion that many member states tolerated illegal actions by the CIA
and criticized several European governments and intelligence agencies
for their unwillingness to cooperate with the investigation.

Once he arrived in Afghanistan, he said he was put in a prison for five
months and tortured. He said he was released in Albania in May 2004
after the CIA discovered they had the wrong person.

Clandestine prisons and secret flights via or from Europe to countries
where suspects could face torture would breach the continent’s human
rights treaties, including the European Convention on Human Rights.

Since 1998, Spain has embraced the so-called universal justice
principle, which allows for the prosecution of crimes against humanity
alleged to have been committed in other countries.

Al-Masri was the first witness in the case.

For hours, the words come pouring out of Abu Omar as he describes his
years of torture at the hands of Egypt's security services. Spreading
his arms in a crucifixion position, he demonstrates how he was tied to
a metal door as shocks were administered to his nipples and genitals.
His legs tremble as he describes how he was twice raped. He mentions,
almost casually, the hearing loss in his left ear from the beatings,
and how he still wakes up at night screaming, takes tranquilizers,
finds it hard to concentrate, and has unspecified "problems with my
wife at home." He is, in short, a broken man.

There is nothing particularly unusual about Abu Omar's story. Torture
is a standard investigative technique of Egypt's intelligence services
and police, as the State Department and human rights organizations have
documented myriad times over the years. What is somewhat unusual is
that Abu Omar ended up inside Egypt's torture chambers courtesy of the
United States, via an "extraordinary rendition"—in this case, a
spectacular daylight kidnapping by the Central Intelligence Agency on
the streets of Milan, Italy.

Human-rights groups charge that renditions were the CIA's way of
relocating prisoners extrajudicially to places where they faced torture
during interrogation. However, Bush said repeatedly that U.S.
operatives did not transfer prisoners to countries known to practice

An Iranian nuclear scientist claimed Thursday that he suffered extreme
mental and physical torture at the hands of U.S. interrogators after
disappearing last year, adding to Tehran's allegations he was abducted
by American agents.

He also alleged that Israeli agents were present during the
interrogations and that CIA officers offered him $50 million to remain
in America. He gave no further details to back up the claims or shed
any new light on his time in the United States, but promised to reveal
more later.,1518,733860,00.html

The American diplomatic cables provide new details about the case of
Khaled el-Masri, a German citizen abducted by the CIA in 2003. The
reports confirm just how much pressure the US put on Germany to not
pursue 13 agents believed to have been involved. But they also reveal
how cooperative and responsive German officials were in light of
American worries.

In the case of Khaled el-Masri, the Lebanese-born German abducted by
the CIA, the Munich public prosecutor's office and Germany's Justice
Ministry and Foreign Ministry, in Berlin, all generously cooperated
with the United States. The new insights on the German-American secret
talks in the politically controversial issue in 2007 come from
previously unpublished cables from the United States Embassy.
Previously, the only thing known was that the US had applied pressure
on Berlin in the case.

Just a few days ago, WikiLeaks published a cable recounting the details
of a meeting that then-Deputy US Ambassador John M. Koenig had in the
German Chancellery, the official office of Chancellor Angela Merkel.
During the conversation, Koenig asked the Germans to "weigh carefully
at every step of the way the implications for relations with the US"
that investigations into the CIA-organized abduction would have. In
another embassy cable, the Americans reported that Berlin had been
informed of the "potential negative implications for our bilateral
relationship" in the longer term.

List Of Proven Conspiracies - 1953 Operation Ajax

In order to make the American Afghan War appear 'just', it becomes
imperative to completely block out access to information on the true
human costs of this war. The actions of the Bush-Rumsfeld-Rice trio
speak eloquently to these efforts: calling-in major U.S news networks
to give them their marching orders, buying up all commercial satellite
imagery available to the general public, sending Powell off to Qatar to
lecture the independent Al Jazeera news network, and lastly, when that
failed targeting the Kabul office of Al Jazeera and scoring a direct
missile hit on it.

This book is about a single idea, consenting adults should not be put

Manufactured threats are big business

The US used to focus on making useful things.

Then came a parade of manufactured enemies:

- "The Huns" in World War I (a danger to British Imperial ambitions but
not to us),

- The Axis (which our leading industrialists and bankers funded and

- The communist menace (which we also helped create by exaggeration,
pointless antagonism, and covert funding)

- "Al Queda", the CIA-created joke which we've practically spent more
money "fighting" than on World War II

Now in the absence of any credible threat anywhere, the new danger
is...Internet users. People with opinions, the technical term for which
is now "domestic extremists."

Here's how this "war" (big bucks extravaganza) is being fought.

The early and oft-repeated media claim "the judge was just in the wrong
place at the wrong time" doesn't ring true for several reasons, the
most important being how the heck would they know and know so quickly?

Equally as suspicious, why did they feel the need to repeat this
statement over and over again from the very beginning of the reports?
Who inserted this into the news stream?

Judge Roll was an opponent of the Federal government overreaching its

Not only did Obama flagrantly lie during his State of the Union speech,
but he also made a mockery of constitutional violations that have
prompted a flurry of lawsuits as well as Freedom of Information Act

Speaking on the subject of upgrading rail services for speedier travel
times, Obama stated, “This could allow you to go places in half the
time it takes to travel by car, for some trips it’ll be faster than
flying – without the pat down.”

Barely minutes had passed before the ACLU fired off a tweet that
stated, “President Obama makes funny about TSA pat-downs, but the
violations of the Constitution are NO JOKE!”

The tweet contained a link to an ACLU report concerning how the
organization had received over a thousand complaints from travelers
about being groped and also having to pass through naked body scanners.

Obama’s inference that only people traveling through airports are being
subjected to invasive TSA pat downs and other intensive security
measures is simply not true.

Following the coup, things went downhill fast for Guatemala. The
country was plunged into 40 years of bloody civil war with a death toll
up an estimated 150,000 victims. Despite the benefits of the nullified
land reforms, things didn't go so well for United Fruit Company either.
Stock value and profit margins declined and it was forced to sell off
the last of its Guatemalan holdings in 1972.

U.S. intervenes in the civil war, taking the side of the neo-fascists
against the Greek left which had fought the Nazis courageously. The
neo-fascists win and instituted a highly brutal regime, for which the
CIA create a new internal security agency, KYP. Before long, KYP is

including systematic torture

Three days after a 50-year-old veteran pilot living outside Sacramento,
Calif., posted a YouTube video to shed light on the security gaps he
believes exist at major U.S. airports, he had his home raided by four
federal air marshals and two sheriff deputies, including members of an
anti-terrorism task force

"As you can see," the pilot narrates on the videos, "airport security
is a kind of farce. It's only smoke and mirrors so you people actually
believe there is something serious going on here."

Full body scanners at airports could increase your risk of skin cancer,
experts warn. The X-ray machines have been brought in at Manchester,
Gatwick and Heathrow. But scientists say radiation from the scanners
has been underestimated and could be particularly risky for children.
They say that the low level beam does deliver a small dose of radiation
to the body but because the beam concentrates on the skin – one of the
most radiation-sensitive organs of the human body – that dose may be up
to 20 times higher than first estimated

In summary, the REAL STORY is that the government knowingly allowed Mr.
underpants to enter the "homeland." Because of their INCOMPETENCE,
every citizen of the country will be inconvenienced FOREVER when
travelling by airplane. Also, the taxpayer will get to pay for all of
these unnecessary machines, as well as the associated manpower and
maintenance to operate them, FOREVER. On the bright side, at least
Michael Chertoff, former secretary of the Department of Homeland
Security, will profit handsomely from this little fiasco because he
represents the company that manufactures the full body scanners. Good
for you Michael Chertoff and good for your friends! Nicely played.

Cops in America are heavily armed and trained to be bullies, routinely
hurting people. After a number of mistakes committed by SWAT teams
breaking into the wrong home of citizens and constant confrontations
with people, are police overstepping their boundaries? Former Reagan
Administration advisor Paul Craig Roberts says people who are attracted
to police forces are bullies and sociopaths.

A graphic video of Houston police landing scores of punches and kicks

The video shows High School sophomore Chad Holley being clipped by a
police cruiser as he attempts to flee the cops. as he hits the ground
he is clearly seen to place his hands behind his head and remain

Despite this, the cops charge out of the vehicles and begin landing
volleys of kicks and punches.

One officer forcefully stomps on the teenager’s head as four other
officers repeatedly kick him in the body and legs. One officer then
lands five separate kicks to Holley’s head as the other officers hold
him down, despite the fact that he is not resisting.

Another officer then lands five punches into Holley’s mid section with
full force, as another stamps on his legs.

Holley is clearly posing no threat to the officers. Furthermore he is
of slight build while the officers kicking and punching him are heavily
built, almost twice his size.

The video is the latest example in a long list of cases of police
brutality that highlight a fundamental rise in an authoritarian
attitude stemming from law enforcement officers. It is the culmination
of a decade or more of cop shows depicting violence on behalf of police
officers as normal, necessary and acceptable.

Police Brutality in the USA: Americans, Too Are Oppressed

Police in the US now rival criminals, and exceed terrorists, as the
greatest threat to the American public. Rogelio Serrato is the latest
case to be in the news of an innocent person murdered by the police.
Serrato was the wrong man, but the Monterey County, California, SWAT
team killed the 31-year old father of four and left the family home a
charred ruin.

Most who suffer abuse from the police don’t bother to complain. They
know that to make an enemy of the police brings a lifetime of troubles.
Those who do file complaints find that police departments tend to be
self-protective and that the naive and gullible public tends to side
with the police.

Considering the data, one might conclude that the police are a greater
danger to the public than are criminals.

Questions not asked, questions not answered

A Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) report circulating in the Kremlin
today states that the top US Federal Judge for the State of Arizona was
assassinated barely 72-hours after he made a critical ruling against
the Obama administrations plan to begin the confiscation of their
citizen’s private retirement and banking accounts in order to stave off
their nations imminent economic collapse, and after having the US
Marshals protecting him removed.

According to this SVR report, Federal Judge John McCarthy Roll was the
Chief Judge for the United States District Court for the District of
Arizona who this past Friday issued what is called a “preliminary
ruling” in a case titled “United States of America v. $333,520.00 in

November 30, 2010] wherein he stated he was preparing to rule against
Obama’s power to seize American citizens money without clear and
convincing evidence of a crime being committed.

Private capital tends to become concentrated in few hands, partly
because of competition among the capitalists, and partly because
technological development and the increasing division of labor
encourage the formation of larger units of production at the expense of
smaller ones. The result of these developments is an oligarchy of
private capital the enormous power of which cannot be effectively
checked even by a democratically organized political society. This is
true since the members of legislative bodies are selected by political
parties, largely financed or otherwise influenced by private
capitalists who, for all practical purposes, separate the electorate
from the legislature. The consequence is that the representatives of
the people do not in fact sufficiently protect the interests of the
underprivileged sections of the population. Moreover, under existing
conditions, private capitalists inevitably control, directly or
indirectly, the main sources of information (press, radio, education).
It is thus extremely difficult, and indeed in most cases quite
impossible, for the individual citizen to come to objective conclusions
and to make intelligent use of his political rights.

From Dictatorship to Democracy by Dr. Gene Sharp (Full Text, PDF, 90 pp)

We, the British People have a right to govern ourselves. That right has
been subjugated as a consequence of acts of treason having been
committed by the collective political establishment, aided and abetted
by corrupt segments of the judiciary, the police, the Church and the
civil service.

We are no longer prepared to tolerate the subjugation of our rights to
satisfy the demands of the shadowy elite of the supranational and
criminal banking cartel.

the national debt from reaching its current level, because it would
have given the gevernment the ability to repay its debt without going
to the Federal Reserve and being charged interest in order to create
the new money. Executive Order 11110 gave the U.S. the ability to
create its own money backed by silver.

effectual have penitentiaries heretofore been in preventing the crimes
they were established to suppress? Has not confinement in them long
been the legal penalty of larceny, forgery, robbery, and many other
crimes, in almost all the states? And yet, are not those crimes
committed weekly, daily, nay, and even hourly in every one of those
states? Again, the gallows has long been the penalty of murder, and yet
we scarcely open a newspaper that does not relate a new case of crime.
If, then, the penitentiary has heretofore failed to prevent larceny,
forgery and robbery, and the gallows and halter have likewise failed to
prevent murder, by what process of reasoning, I ask, is it that we are
to conclude the penitentiary will hereafter prevent the stealing of the
public money?" - Abraham Lincoln

BREAKING ALERT: Mass Arrests, Tear Gas, Sound Weapons used Against WIU

Nine years after the terrorist attacks of 2001, the United States is
assembling a vast domestic intelligence apparatus to collect
information about Americans, using the FBI, local police, state
homeland security offices and military criminal investigators.

The system, by far the largest and most technologically sophisticated
in the nation's history, collects, stores and analyzes information
about thousands of U.S. citizens and residents, many of whom have not
been accused of any wrongdoing.

Technologies and techniques honed for use on the battlefields of Iraq
and Afghanistan have migrated into the hands of law enforcement
agencies in America.

* The FBI is building a database with the names and certain personal
information, such as employment history, of thousands of U.S. citizens
and residents whom a local police officer or a fellow citizen believed
to be acting suspiciously. It is accessible to an increasing number of
local law enforcement and military criminal investigators, increasing
concerns that it could somehow end up in the public domain.

Monitoring America

Failed States: The Abuse of Power and the Assault on Democracy is a
book by Noam Chomsky, first published in 2006, in which Chomsky argues
that the United States is becoming a “failed state”, and thus a danger
to its own people and the world.

"The more you can increase fear of drugs, crime, welfare mothers,
immigrants and aliens, the more you control all of the people."

— Noam Chomsky

The United States is a Leading Terrorist State

Noam Chomsky interviewed by David Barsamian6, November, 2001

The message is clear: no one has the right of self-defense against US
terrorist attack. The US is a terrorist state by right. That is
unchallengeable doctrine.
