shatter - once again - that wilderness of mirrors that is the "war on
terror", as well as deeply compromising the carefully constructed
propaganda of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization's (NATO's)
"humanitarian" intervention in Libya.

Already last Tuesday, Belhaj was gloating on how the battle was won,
with Gaddafi forces escaping "like rats" (note that's the same metaphor
used by Gaddafi himself to designate the rebels).

or wherever it is) have reportedly given the people of Sirte ten days
to surrender or face a full military onslaught. This is not a
cease-fire. While they await their fate, they will still be subject to
artillery fire and NATO bombing, and food, water and electricity have
already been cut off.

U.S. occupation forces. On October 14th 2004, the Washington Post

Arab states, hundreds of Libyan nationals went to Afghanistan to fight
the Soviets in the 1980s and 1990s. These “Libyan Afghans” would later
form the core of the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group (LIFG) after
returning to Libya in the early 1990s, freshly empowered with a sense
of purpose and jihad. The number of Libyans who went to Afghanistan is
estimated at 500; possibly a quarter of these original mujahideen would
later form the core of the LIFG. The group announced its presence in
1995 with fierce clashes in Benghazi in September, leaving dozens
killed on both sides. A few weeks later, the LIFG formally announced
its existence. LIFGs next big operation occurred in 1997, when the
group tried to assassinate President Muammar Qadhafi. Subsequent
security operations weakened the group and forced many to relocate to
foreign countries, namely in the Middle East and Europe, where the
struggle continued. On September 25, 2001, LIFG assets were frozen in
