Understanding relating to article II
It is the understanding of the Committee that the following examples are
illustrative of phenomena that could be caused by the use of environmental
modification techniques as defined in article II of the Convention: earthquakes;
tsunamis; an upset in the ecological balance of a region; changes in weather
patterns (clouds, precipitation, cyclones of various types and tornadic storms);
changes in climate patterns; changes in ocean currents; changes in the state of
the ozone layer; and changes in the state of the ionosphere.
It is further understood that all the phenomena listed above, when produced
by military or any other hostile use of environmental modification techniques,
would result, or could reasonably be expected to result, in widespread, longlasting
or severe destruction, damage or injury. Thus, military or any other
hostile use of environmental modification techniques as defined in article II, so
as to cause those phenomena as a means of destruction, damage or injury to another
State Party, would be prohibited.

The Environmental Modification Convention (ENMOD), formally the Convention on the Prohibition of Military or Any Other Hostile Use of Environmental Modification Techniques is an international treaty prohibiting the military or other hostile use of environmental modification techniques. It opened for signature on 18 May 1977 in Geneva and entered into force on 5 October 1978. The Convention bans weather warfare, which is the use of weather modification techniques for the purposes of inducing damage or destruction. The Convention on Biological Diversity of 2010 would also ban some forms of weather modification or geoengineering.

The Ministry of Defence turned large parts of the country into a giant laboratory to conduct a series of secret germ warfare tests on the public.

A government report just released provides for the first time a comprehensive official history of Britain's biological weapons trials between 1940 and 1979.

Many of these tests involved releasing potentially dangerous chemicals and micro-organisms over vast swaths of the population without the public being told.

While details of some secret trials have emerged in recent years, the 60-page report reveals new information about more than 100 covert experiments.

The report reveals that military personnel were briefed to tell any 'inquisitive inquirer' the trials were part of research projects into weather and air pollution.

U.S. military's secret experiment sprayed radiation on low-income housing
A college professor from St. Louis, Missouri has released research claiming that the U.S. Army conducted secret Cold War tests by spraying toxic radioactive chemicals on cities like St. Louis and Corpus Christi.

St. Louis Community College-Meramec sociology professor Lisa Martino-Taylor told The Associated Press that her research showed that the Army may have sprayed radioactive particles with zinc cadmium sulfide while claiming that it was testing a smoke screen that could prevent Russians from observing St. Louis from the air.

Those tests were concentrated in predominately-black areas of the city, which Army documents called “a densely populated slum district.”

In 1994, the Army confirmed to Congress that St. Louis was chosen because it resembled Russian cities that the U.S. might have to attack with biological weapons.

“The study was secretive for reason,” Martino-Taylor explained to KDSK last month. “They didn’t have volunteers stepping up and saying yeah, I’ll breathe zinc cadmium sulfide with radioactive particles.”

Documents showed that the Army used airplanes to drop the chemicals in Corpus Christi, but sprayers were mounted on station wagons and buildings in St. Louis.

Following 70 years of intensive excavations in the Land of Israel, archaeologists have found out: The patriarchs' acts are legendary, the Israelites did not sojourn in Egypt or make an exodus, they did not conquer the land. Neither is there any mention of the empire of David and Solomon, nor of the source of belief in the God of Israel. These facts have been known for years, but Israel is a stubborn people and nobody wants to hear about it.

This is what archaeologists have learned from their excavations in the Land of Israel: the Israelites were never in Egypt, did not wander in the desert, did not conquer the land in a military campaign and did not pass it on to the 12 tribes of Israel. Perhaps even harder to swallow is the fact that the united monarchy of David and Solomon, which is described by the Bible as a regional power, was at most a small tribal kingdom. And it will come as an unpleasant shock to many that the God of Israel, Jehovah, had a female consort and that the early Israelite religion adopted monotheism only in the waning period of the monarchy and not at Mount Sinai. Most of those who are engaged in scientific work in the interlocking spheres of the Bible, archaeology and the history of the Jewish people - and who once went into the field looking for proof to corroborate the Bible story - now agree that the historic events relating to the stages of the Jewish people's emergence are radically different from what that story tells.

General belief is that universe was created by God (Parmeshwara) who then created Brahma. Brahma created our world & solar system & 33 deities. (not 33 million, its a mistranslation of Sanskrit word 'koti')

U don't worship God, but deities based on ur profession & family history. Vishnu is related to commerce & hence, worshipped by traders. Shiva is related to mysticism & hence worshipped by hermits & sages & so on. Kali, krishna etc are late additions to pantheon & are actually local deities of native tribes. Their role is to help their devotees, God regulates karma, including that of deities themselves.

Some Hindus are pantheist (Vaishnavites & Shaivites) & some monotheist (Smartas). Buddhists & Jains are also considered atheist Hindus. Indonesian Hindus do not worship God at all, but spirits of ancestors. Some believe in heaven & hell & others in reincarnation.

That is why, we have many Gods, a person is allowed to worship anyone (or anything) anyway they like (or not worship at all). We don't have the concepts of blasphemy or heresy or religious conversion (until Hare Krishna bs).

Wikileaks has obtained and decrypted this previously unreleased video footage from a US Apache helicopter in 2007. It shows Reuters journalist Namir Noor-Eldeen, driver Saeed Chmagh, and several others as the Apache shoots and kills them in a public square in Eastern Baghdad. They are apparently assumed to be insurgents. After the initial shooting, an unarmed group of adults and children in a minivan arrives on the scene and attempts to transport the wounded. They are fired upon as well. The official statement on this incident initially listed all adults as insurgents and claimed the US military did not know how the deaths ocurred. 1. Es gab keine Stromrechnung in Libyen. Strom war kostenlos für alle Bürger.

2. Es gab keine Zinsen auf Kredite. Die staatlichen Banken vergaben Darlehen an alle Bürger zu null Prozent Zinsen per Gesetz.

3. Ein HeimZuhause zu haben galt als ein Menschenrecht in Libyen.

4. Alle Frischvermählten in Libyen erhielten 50.000 US-Dollar. Dieses Geld sollte den Menschen ermöglichen ihre erste Wohnung zu kaufen. Die Regierung wollte so zum Start einer Familie beitragen.

5. Bildung und medizinische Behandlungen waren frei in Libyen. Bevor Gaddafi an die Macht kam konnten nur 25 Prozent der Libyer lesen. Heute liegt die Zahl bei 83 Prozent.

6. Wollten Libyer in der Landwirtschaft Karriere machen, erhielten sie Ackerland, eine Bauernhaus, Geräte, Saatgut und Vieh als Schnellstart für ihre Farmen und das alles kostenlos.


7. Wenn Libyer keine Ausbildung oder medizinische Einrichtungen finden konnten die sie benötigten, hatten sie die Möglichkeit mit der Hilfe staatliche Gelder ins Ausland zu gehen. Sie bekamen 2.300 USD im Monat für Unterkunft und Auto gezahlt.

8. Wenn ein Libyer ein Auto kaufte, subventionierte die Regierung 50 Prozent des Preises.

9. Der Preis für Benzin in Libyen war 0,14 $ (12 Rappen oder ca. 0,10 Euro) pro Liter.

10. Wenn ein Libyer keine Arbeit bekam nach dem Studium, zahlte der Staat das durchschnittliche Gehalt des Berufs in dem er eine Arbeit suchte, bis eine fachlich adäquate Beschäftigung gefunden wurde..

11. Libyen hat keine Auslandsschulden und ihre Reserven in Höhe von 150.000.000.000 $ sind jetzt weltweit eingefroren und wohl für immer verloren.

12. Ein Teil jeden libyschen Öl-Verkaufs wurde direkt auf die Konten aller libyschen Bürger gutgeschrieben.

13. Mütter die ein Kind gebaren erhielten 5.000 US-Dollar.

14. 25 Prozent der Libyer haben einen Hochschulabschluss.

15. Gaddafi startete Das Great-Man-Made-River-Projekt (GMMRP oder GMMR, dt. Großer menschengemachter Fluss-Projekt) in Libyen Es ist das weltweit größte Trinkwasser-Pipeline-Projekt für eine bessere Wasserversorgung von Bevölkerung und Landwirtschaft.
