SANA: Terrorists al-Younes and Darwish: Gunmen Spread Across al-Treimseh Based on Orders and Before
Army Forces Entered it
HAMA, (SANA) – Two members of the terrorist groups that were active in the town of al-Treimseh said
that the terrorists – who included non-Syrians of Arab nationalities – spread across the town before
the army entered it, and that this was based on orders they received to attack law-enforcement forces
and prevent civilians from going to work.
In confessions televised by the Syrian TV, terrorist Hikmat Shihadeh al-Mustafa al-Younes, a local of
al-Treimseh, said that he joined a group of 16 gunmen led by Manhal Darwish, and that they gathered in
town along with around 250 gunmen.
He said that orders were given to them to attack law-enforcement forces checkpoint, preventing state
employees from going to work, and forcing people to strike, but they were surprised when security
forces arrived and they were ordered to prevent them from entering the town and fighting them.
Al-Younes said that he and his cohorts had assorted weapons including automatic rifles, sniper rifles,
RPG launchers, and hand grenades, and that snipers were stationed on rooftops.
He said that the leader of his group was killed along with many gunmen in the clash with security
forces, which lasted about an hour and a half, which is why he turned himself over when security forces
instructed them to surrender via loudspeakers.
For his part, terrorist Sa'ed Darwsih, another local and a policeman, said that while he was spending
vacation time in his home, several gunmen including a man called Saleh al-Sabaoui came and threatened
to kill him and all his family if he returns to work, and they coerced him into joining them.
Darwish said the gunmen had been gathering in town for around 20 days, and that their numbers were
between 250 and 300 and that they had planned to attack law-enfrocemtn checkpoints, block roads and
impose a state of strike by force.
He said that on Thursday, they heard that the army was encircling the town, so they tried to escape but
couldn't, and then they received orders to attack the army and several of the gunmen died in the
ensuing conflict while others were arrested, including Darwish.
Darwish confirmed that the terrorists had RPG launchers, machineguns, snipers, automatic rifles and
explosive devices, adding that the leaders of the armed groups received money from Turkey and that
there were Turks and Libyans among the ranks of these groups.

5.6 range, little to no spraying. When it raises , sometimes as high as 6.8, spraying is occurring.
There is now so much aluminum in the stratosphere that all tests will probably show something. This
situation is so horribly wrong. All that lives and breaths is being poisoned by the spraying, period.

The tragedy of Afghanistan continues as the valiant and courageous Afghan freedom fighters (The
Taliban) persevere in standing up against the brutal power of the U.S. invasion and occupation. The
Afghan people are struggling to reclaim their freedom, which was taken from them when the U.S. invaded
Afghanistan in October of 2001.
In this 10 year period the United States has been unable to subjugate Afghanistan. The U.S. and NATO
forces are pitted against an extraordinary people who, in their determination to preserve the character
of their ancient land, have organized an effective and still spreading country-wide resistance. The
resistance of the Afghan freedom fighters is an example to all the world of the invincibility of the
ideals we in this country hold most dear, the ideals of freedom and independence.
We must also recognize that the sacrifices required to maintain this resistance are very high. Millions
have gone into exile as refugees. We will probably never know the numbers of people killed and maimed,
poisoned and gased, of the homes that have been destroyed, and of the lives that have been shattered
and stricken with grief.
It is, therefore, incumbent upon us to reflect on the events in Afghanistan, to think about the agony
which these brave people bear, and to maintain our condemnation of the continuing U.S. / NATO
occupation.
Not too long ago the United States supported the fight of the Afghan people against another invader.
The U.S. government even invited members of the Afghan resistance, the mujahideen, to the White House.
Under Reagan, U.S. support for the mujahideen evolved into an official U.S. foreign policy, known as
the Reagan Doctrine, which included U.S. support for anti-Soviet movements in Afghanistan, Angola,
Nicaragua, and elsewhere. Ronald Reagan praised the mujahideen as "freedom fighters". The United States
Congress, by Senate Joint Resolution 65, even designated March 21, 1983 as "Afghanistan Day" and
requested the President issue a proclamation in observance of that day. Reagan did just that.
Now, Therefore, I, Ronald Reagan, President of the United States of America, do hereby designate March
21, 1983 as Afghanistan Day.

The publication cites the findings of the Center on National Security at Fordham Law School. The Center

BEIRUT, (SANA) - The Russian Ambassador in Lebanon Alexander Zasypkin on Monday reiterated Russia's
rejection of foreign dictations on Syria, stressing that the future of Syria is determined by the
Syrians only.
In an interview with al-Jadeed TV, Zasypkin called upon all external sides to make the appropriate
atmosphere for holding a comprehensive dialogue among the Syrians with the aim of reaching a peaceful
solution for the crisis.
He pointed out that some external countries are arming and funding the armed terrorist groups in Syria,
stressing that Moscow will not accept the Libyan scenario to be repeated in Syria.
Zasypkin highlighted that the purpose of Geneva meeting is to support the six-points plan of the UN
envoy Kofi Annan.

Out to 12 nautical miles (22 kilometres; 14 miles) from the baseline, the coastal state is free to
set laws, regulate use, and use any resource. Vessels were given the right of innocent passage through
any territorial waters, with strategic straits allowing the passage of military craft as transit
passage, in that naval vessels are allowed to maintain postures that would be illegal in territorial
waters. "Innocent passage" is defined by the convention as passing through waters in an expeditious and
continuous manner, which is not "prejudicial to the peace, good order or the security" of the coastal
state. Fishing, polluting, weapons practice, and spying are not "innocent", and submarines and other
underwater vehicles are required to navigate on the surface and to show their flag. Nations can also
temporarily suspend innocent passage in specific areas of their territorial seas, if doing so is
essential for the protection of its security.
