Suspected mastermind of Paris carnage killed in Saint-Denis police raid – report
The alleged sponsor and mastermind of the November 13 massacre in Paris, Abdelhamid Abaaoud, was killed in a Wednesday raid by French forces in the Parisian suburb of Saint-Denis, a media report suggests.
The Washington Post cited two senior European intelligence officials as saying that Abaaoud, who was the primary target of the special operation, was killed.
The identities of the two people killed in the raid – including a female who blew herself up with a suicide vest – are yet to be determined, he added.
French special forces teams fired 5,000 rounds during the raid and had to resort to the use of powerful munitions. Only body parts were found afterwards. Investigators are using DNA analysis to determine the identities of terrorists who were killed.
Overall seven people were arrested during the siege and detained for questioning, the prosecutor said, stressing that Abaaoud was not among them.
Over 800 police officers were involved in the operation, Molins said, adding that Wednesday’s raid was carried out following a verified tip suggesting that Abaaoud was still in France.

The idiotic media version of ISIS: are we losing our critical thinking?
Is ISIS territory getting bigger or smaller? Even the BBC doesn’t seem to know. Does it have 20,00 fighters? Or more than 50,000 fighters? Or over 100,000 fighters? Depends who you ask. In the chaotic war zones of Iraq and Syria all such estimates seem to be more guesswork, rumour and myth than fact, particularly when “ISIS” can morph into the FSA or al Qaeda and back again simply by the proclamation of any “source” the western media deems reliable.

In terms of its physical presence on the ground ISIS is all but indistinguishable from al Qaeda, al Nusra, the Mujahideen and all the rest of the western-backed terror networks/proxy armies currently in place in the Middle East and other areas of strategic sensitivity.

France has been arming, funding, backing, and exploiting armies of terrorists from North Africa to the Middle East as part of NATO's larger bid to use Al Qaeda to overthrow governments and rearrange regions to better align to their hegemonic agenda. Now these same extremists are running rampant in France's own streets - either as a form of blowback, or as a means to manipulate public perception as NATO did with Operation Gladio during the Cold War.
Al Qaeda was intentionally organized and directed by the US, Saudi Arabia, and Israel to engage in a regional confrontation aimed at Iran and its powerful arc of influence including Syria, Hezbollah in Lebanon, and now apparently Iraq. A similar gambit played out in North Africa during NATO's war with Libya. Before that, in the 1980's, the US CIA notoriously created Al Qaeda in the first place to fight a proxy war against the Soviet Union in Afghanistan.

“Let me underline, the profile of the terrorists so far identified tells us this is an internal threat,” Federica Mogherini, the High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy/Vice-President of the European Commission, said after a meeting with EU foreign ministers. “It is all EU citizens so far.
